New Record on the Way from Heather Lomax

I couldn’t be more excited to tell you about the upcoming Heather Lomax record. Unlike some projects where the band is assembled at the last minute, I was asked to come on board during the demo stages. Heather and producer, Jason Hiller, had a vision to create something organic and full of crackling energy, inspired by Elvis and others’ recordings at Sun Studios in the late 50’s.

After working through the songs, we set-out to find the perfect band counterparts to help set up a rollicking, clap-trap dance floor of a sound from which Heather could really shine. Some of my regular collaborators were able to join, including Ty Bailie, John JT Thomas and Chris Joyner on various keys; Rob Humphreys and David Goodstein on drums; and the inimitable, Aubrey Richmond on fiddle and vocals.
